Physicians Plasma Alliance (PPA) was founded by Kevin King and Dr. Bruce Boggs in 2009. Kevin is an expert in the plasma and blood banking industry with a passion for adding real value to disease research. Dr. Bruce Boggs is a highly respected and well-known physician acting as the PPA Medical Director.
After opening its doors in Gray Tennessee, PPA worked hard to create alliances with physicians and other health care professionals to provide the diagnostic and research industry with quality biological products. PPA became FDA registered and obtained Tennessee laboratory and CLIA licensing, and began collecting whole blood and plasma from patients with different types of diseases inside Dr. Boggs’ medical facility. Within the first year, PPA grew so quickly that they needed to expand. In November 2011, PPA was proud to open a new state of the art blood and plasma collection center adjacent to Dr. Boggs’ medical offices.
With medical research growing rapidly in the Tri-Cities and local institutions such as East Tennessee State University gaining national recognition for its efforts, PPA is in a prime location for its purpose. PPA continues to grow, and add new space and technology regularly to ensure patients are comfortable and happy. Having received multiple industry-leading certifications, PPA also continually strives to exceed the most stringent of quality controls that are vital to our customers, patients, and healthcare providers.
Physicians Plasma Alliance’s Mission is to improve quality of life by providing superior blood and plasma products for the development of medical diagnostics and innovative research. With the skillful and efficient collection of samples and donations in a safe, comfortable, patient-centered environment, Physicians Plasma Alliance is truly bringing diagnostics to life.
